For the most part I have been able to rid my life of those toxic, two-faced, back-stabbing people who like to masquerade as friends. With most, I was lucky enough to find out within a few short months just how fake and ridiculous they were. Unfortunately, recent events with one of these people is really annoying me, not to mention other people have been brought in who have no fucking clue what actually happened. However, these people are just as crazy as the one of which I speak, so I guess thank goodness the crazy people have one another and are not potentially infecting those of us who are sane.
On a much better note: I went home to Illinois with Drake this weekend and it was a blast. I'd already met the majority of his family when they came out her at the end of July but this was cool because I got to see where he grew up and he showed me around Hamilton and Keokuk like I got to show him around Rosemount, etc. It was cool to also see him with his buddies, the ones who are most important to him and the ones who he has really known the longest. We hung out with his best friend Jesse, and Jesse's girlfriend Shanna, who is awesome. They are coming out here for the Oklahoma game so it should be a lot of fun. Of course his mom and dad were just as awesome as before, and we went to his little brother Dane's football games on Saturday. I really liked Hamilton, despite the fact that it is much smaller than what I am used to. Like Lincoln though, we ended up hanging out at Wal-Mart, and Jesse and Drake were addicted to the claw machines and trying to win stuffed animals for Shanna and I...Drake eventually won four of them while we were there, plus when we got back to Lincoln last night I had forgotten something so we ran to Wal-Mart again, and he won me another one. They are pretty cute for being from a machine at Wal-Mart.
My good friend Kim who I haven't seen in ages is coming this weekend. She is taking pictures on Thursday and Friday for her friend's wedding in Norfolk and will be in Lincoln on Saturday. I am stoked, it has been way too long.

Wendell...and stuff
I'm not sure exactly how many people know this but I have an very adorable red eared slider turtle named Wendell. I absolutely love him and think he is one of the most adorable things on this planet. Originally my friend Shona and I were working on a project at her apartment last semester and she showed me her new turtle she got, named Wendell. I thought he was so cute that I wanted one of my own. Once I got settled into my new apartment after the semester was over, I went in search of a red eared slider turtle to call my own. Unfortunately I found out it is illegal to sell baby red eared sliders in Lancaster Country because the babies can carry salmonella. Yuck. If the shell is smaller than four inches, they can't be sold. Well, Wendell is waaaaay smaller than four inches, his shell is now a little bigger than a 50 cent piece. Anyway, so I was kind of sad about all this, but decided I would go to Hastings where Shona got hers. Then she told me she would sell Wendell to for cheap because her cat Cleo, tried to eat him one day. Thus, no trip to Hastings and I saved a lot of money. Originally I wanted to name my own turtle Merle, after Teetz's dad, but I couldn't bear to change Wendell's name even though Shona okayed it. So my turtles full name is Wendell Merle, and that way he gets the best of both worlds. He's a lot more active than he used to be and that makes me happy. For a while he just kind of sat around and didn't do much but now his aquarium is looking pretty snazzy if I do say so myself, which I do say, so it's true. He likes to burrow into the rocks and try to bury himself under them, but unfortunately there aren't enough for him to do so. He is fun to watch, I am very happy I got him. I just wish he grew a little faster, though Drake says he can tell he's gotten bigger. I guess I just don't see it because I see Wendell every day, whereas Drake may be here every day but he pays little attention to my baby.
On my way home from work tonight I was driving behind a Toyota Tundra. Damn, it took up a lot of room, and was in general not very attractive. It was also slow, which annoyed me.
Last weekend to go out and have real fun, so we're going to Sandy's around 9:30 or so for those of you old enough to partake in the festivities. Teetz said he'd go drink for drink with me, which will be entertaining so the camera is definitely coming along for this one!
It's hard to believe I am starting my final semester as an undergraduate at UNL. I am anxious to get out, I am sick of Nebraska and really want something new, though I know I will be here until next May. I think what it really comes down to is the bullshit Financial Aid pulls all the time, I am tired of the red tape and the hoops I have to jump through. I love all my friends dearly though and am very lucky to have found them true ones who matter, and to have rid myself of the two-faced ones. I really feel I am at the point in my life where all the toxic people are gone and I don't have to associate with them anymore. It makes things much more simple. I am a bit sad though, I was driving down Greek Row (that's 16th street for those of you not in the know) and saw everyone moving in and gearing up for another year, it's weird not moving back into the dorms, though I am grateful for not having to wear flip-flops in the shower anymore. However, because Drake is an RA - in Cather, of all dorms, ha ha - I will be there quite often. This should make for some interesting times, though Drake would prefer those times be kept to a minimum. I certainly do not miss the sorority life at all, I am glad that chapter in my life has closed. I miss the amazing women I call friends who I met through the chapter, but I am glad to be done with Meeting and Recruitment and the like. It was so stressful and silly at times, but it was a necessary evil to maintain the chapter. This is getting depressing, I am not going to be sad really when I am done, I just know how different things are now. One thing that will bum me out about this year is that most of my friends are graduating in May, while I am going in December. I think Kayleen and I are the only two graduating in the middle of the year, but Drake, Teetz and Britt are all May kiddos. At least Kayleen and I can make faces at each other just to stay awake through the ceremony. I wasn't going to go to it even, but Mom, and pretty much my entire family would kill me if I didn't. I'm psyched to start planning the party, it will be awesome.
Speaking of parties, the other night Britt and I watched Laguna Beach, and the season premier of My Super Sweet Sixteen was on. I wanted to absolutely murder this stupid girl who was on. She was horrible to her mother and was always saying all this nasty stuff and telling her to shut up and sit down and leave her alone and stop being annoying. Hello, dumbass, your mother is dropping $180,000 on a fucking birthday party, quite your bitching and be a little more grateful. It was ridiculous. I honestly think if I ever saw that girl on the street I would not be able to resist punching her. It would be way too sweet.
Okay, I think that is enough incoherent rambling for now, it's nap time.

The Customer IS NOT Always Right...and Teetz kicks ass
Before I rant about customers, I have to tell everyone that Teetz freaked out for nothing and kicked some butt on the GRE. I don't remember the exact score, it was 13-something so everyone should congratulate him because he worried for nothing. I told him he was smart and he'd be fine, but sometimes he likes to doubt me. I knew he'd do just fine, so yeah, that's some good news.
I really hate that saying about the customer always being right. I have had some grade-A majorly retarded customers in the short months I have been at Office Depot and let me tell you, they are the dumbest of the dumb. Now, I have four main gripes I will share with you about today's consumers and let us all hope you are not one of these people:
1. Printer Model Numbers
It's simple, you tell me your printer/copier/fax, etc model number and I can look up your cartridge/drum unit for you. If you do not know the number and you live/work with the machine, how in the name of all that is holy do you expect me to know? Don't get pissed at me because you're not smart enough to know the ink or model number.
2. Price Matching
If you want to use the coupon for Office Max so damn bad, then go to Office Max and spend it there. Office Depot is not my career, I do not give a shit if you go to a competitor. Prime example, a woman came in today and had the Office Max $15 off a purchase of $75 or more. I told her it was an Office Max coupon (because sometimes people are that dumb and don't know they went to the wrong store, see #4) and she goes, "Yeah but you usually accept them - or do you want me to go to Office Max." HELL YES I WANT YOU TO GO TO OFFICE MAX YOU STUCK UP PRETENTIOUS BITCH. But alas, I did not say that. Instead I just kind of smirked and shrugged my shoulders in a way that told her I wanted her to go without the words actually coming out of my mouth.
3. Crazy Christians and Their Tax Exempt Cards.
I understand that this does not apply to all Christians, nor does it even apply to all customers with tax exempt cards, but I have met some of the rudest people in Lincoln who have these cards. That is certainly not a good way to represent your church or congregation because if they all act like assholes and bitches then no thanks. Another Prime Example: This priest comes in every week or so and he has his tax exempt card. The first time I dealt with him he told me he was tax exempt AFTER I'd already done the sale and he was bound and determined to get that dollar back so I had to return everything and resell it, only to have him bitch the whole time. In addition to that, he didn't carry his tax exempt card with him so I had to look it up in the computer system, which he also got impatient about so finally I told him I would write it down for him so next time we wouldn't waste anyone's time. I really emphasized the 'anyone'. Apparently he didn't get the hint because he came in last week as usually, sans his tax exempt card. Poor Matt had to deal with him this time, and he waited over TEN MINUTES to get his THIRTY CENTS. I don't care if he is a priest, he is a DOUCHE.
4. Know Where You Are Going
I don't know about you, but when I get in the car I usually have a specific place in mind that I am going. I also do not usually forget that place once I am there inside the store. I don't know how many freaking times I have a customer ask me where they are at. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DROVE YOUR FREAKING CAR HERE, MORON. That one really gets me. Idiots.
So the moral of the story is: Sarah was not cut out to work retail. Thank goodness I am going to be a teacher.
On a completely unrelated, albeit funny, note: One of Jenny's lame friends called me around 2 am on Saturday. I didn't recognize the number so I answered and all she said was, 'Hey dumb whore'. So I asked who it was and she told me it didn't matter and then she said I was a bitch or something as unoriginal, and so again I asked who it was and she still wouldn't tell me so I just said, "Okay that's cool, bye" and hung up. I don't think they understand that calling me up to call me some name or another really doesn't effect me. She also sent me a text later on telling me to grow up. Um, excuse me, but WHO IS THE CHILDISH IDIOT WRITING FAIRY TALES BECAUSE SHE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH? Not this girl, that's for sure. I am assuming she is doing this because I sent Jenny a message on Facebook telling her how much Teetz, Britt and I enjoyed her story and that we hope there is a sequel, but she shouldn't sound so bitter next time around. This is the response I got from her:
Why, thank you for your kind interest in my work. I don't think I'll be writing a sequel, however, because I've rather lost interest in the main character of that particular story. It was a piece I had written so long ago, but it remained quite popular among my friends, so they asked me to post it online. I'm glad that my work is being read, but I must request that you wait to read more until it has been published. I want nothing more to do with you. Ever. Have a nice life.
I loved how she tried to sound all intelligent but it came off so forced. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't she the main character? Ah well, what can you expect from someone who is from Omaha? Of course I couldn't resist so I sent a message back saying that if she really wants nothing to do with me, her friends should probably stop calling and texting me. I also put something in about how when I had something to say, I said it to her, I didn't send my friends or my boyfriend to do it. This happened back when she thought I was telling everyone she was pregnant, when I was not telling people that. She had Kayleen call me, and she had DaveReid talk to Teetz.

My very own fairy tale!
Boy kids, do I have a special treat for you tonight. Britt found this a couple days ago and told me about it. It seems Jenny just can't quite let go and has written a lovely little story about me. Brittany and I had a good laugh about it, as did Teetz, my boyfriend, and my roommates. One roommate's exact words were: "Is this girl retarded? I don't know if I should be laughing at how stupid she is, or if I should feel bad for her." I told him he could laugh but also feel bad for her, she needs the pity. He also said he's worked with retards before who could write better than this. Ouch. So, I will not make you wait any long as I present this fine literary work also called, "childish" and "beyond childish" by the same roommate. I didn't change any of her typos or improper usages because that would take some of the fun out of this. Enjoy!
Once upon a time there was a princess. But she wasn't a typical princess. She was just a girl who declared herself princess (and we know how well that sort of action turned out for Mr. Bonaparte). She was also not pretty. She had hair as long as Rapunzel, but it was all matted and gross, and she had a horse face, too. But when she looked in the mirror, she thought she was beautiful, because she was so vain. She wasn't a nice person either. All of the subjects in her court were terrified of her. She kept a log of everything that everyone around her said so that she could blackmail them later if she so chose.
Her closest "friend" (I use quotation marks, because can someone really be a friend if they are merely used as a puppet?) was a eunuch. Hopefully he was already like that before he met her, but somehow I doubt it, which proves even more how un-princess-like she was. He followed her around all the time, and that's how she liked it. Because, you see, she was in love with him, but she never wanted to admit to anyone that she loved a eunuch. Real princesses only married real princes, so that's what she wanted to do. Of course, she wasn't thinking that no real prince would have her because she wasn't a real princess. She also knew (but never admitted) that the only reason the eunuch seemed to love her back was because she had put a spell of manipulation over him.
So she lived her life like that for many years; terrorizing her subjects and fawning over a eunuch. Until one day, a woman moved to the area that this so-called-princess had set up as her kingdom. This woman was a very trusting sort of person, with a quiet beauty about her, and she only moved to this place because a friend of hers led her there (she didn't realize at that time that this friend was one of the so-called-princess' subjects). Part of what made the "princess" so awful was that she was quite good at making everyone believe that she was good and beautiful. The woman fell into this trap at first because she thought everyone she considered a friend was as good a friend as she was.
One day, the woman was walking across a meadow to reach the princess' place of residence for a visit, when she nearly tripped over a young girl (about 15 years old) sitting in the grass and crying.
"Whatever is the matter?" she asked.
The young girl hiccupped and replied, "The princess slapped me." Then she burst into fresh tears.
"Surely you don't mean that!" The woman was appalled. Imagine! A princess slapping her subjects!
"Well, it wasn't that h-h-hard. But she told me I couldn't love the boy that I loved! She said he was to be a member of her inner c-c-court and I couldn't have him. I protested, and she s-s-slapped me."
"Oh, my," exclaimed the woman."And now he's probably going to be a eunuch, too," the girl sobbed.
The woman gave the girl a piece of candy she had in her pocket and carried on across the meadow, thinking about what she had just learned. The woman, although trusting, had had her suspicions about the princess--namely, that her favorite eunuch had not arrived to her in that condition. The woman reached the princess' place of residence, but before she rapped on the heavy wooden door, she paused. She could hear loud voices inside.
"You're hardly a man!" cackled a female voice the woman could almost recognize. Then the voice laughed. It was a horrible laugh that made the woman's skin crawl.
"Yes, I know," replied another voice meekly. It sounded male, but perhaps before puberty.
"You have no testicles!" The same cackle. "No real woman will ever want you! I only keep you out of pity!"
The woman opened the door a tiny bit. She couldn't imagine that the voice was really the princess', but who else could it be? And indeed it was--but since the woman was looking at her when she was showing her true colors, she was not fooled by the dark magic the princess usually employed to present herself as fair and beautiful. The woman saw her as she truly was: horse-faced, with empty eyes and dark tangled hair floating around her like Medusa's snakes. The woman gasped. She tried to shut the door, but it was too late; the princess had seen her.
"YOU!" cried the evil princess.
The woman was no coward. She opened the door wider and didn't run away. The evil princess looked flustered. She had never intended to have anyone see what she was truly like (the eunuch didn't count--she had him completely manipulated). She decided she would try to control the woman the way she had controlled so many others. So the evil princess flung insult after insult at the woman, trying to affect her. And it must be said that a few of the things the princess said hit nerves of the woman. There were moments when her strength began to falter, and she felt her self-esteem dip. But then the woman thought of her true friends, the ones who were loyal to her through thick and thin, and her defences were fortified. It was as though the love of her friends had formed a transparent shield around her, and all the insults the evil princess could come up with merely bounced off of the woman and ricocheted around the room.
But then, the evil princess thought of the perfect insult. Her empty dark eyes flashed maliciously. She knew it would be perfect because somewhere deep inside of her, where the tiniest portion of a real human soul existed, she could remember the day she realized that it was true about herself. It was the worst truth anyone could imagine, and it made her hate herself even more than she already did. But as soon as she had realized it, she chose to push that fact out of her mind and ignore it. That was the day that crowned herself princess and began collecting people to control. Her powers of manipulation were all that kept her esteem afloat. So now she chose to use this insult against her enemy, thinking that at last, this could manipulate the woman.
"YOU WILL NEVER BE LOVED!" shouted the evil princess triumphantly.For a brief moment, the woman was stunned that the princess was truly that evil. But then a wave of pity washed over her. The woman knew that this was the princess' greatest fear, and that it had already been realized.
"You are very wrong," said the woman calmly. The insult flew toward the woman, but could not break through the shield of love that surrounded her. It bounced off the shield and hit the princess between the eyes, forcing her to remember that it was she, not the woman, who would never be loved.
The woman felt bad for the princess, but worse for the eunuch. While the princess began sobbing, mourning her life that she had destroyed, the spell on the eunuch was broken. He awoke with the realization that he had wasted years on someone he thought was beautiful and fair, only to have had her castrate him. It was very disappointing and sad.
But the woman couldn't bear to be in the vicinity of these people anymore, so she ran out of the building and through the meadow until she came to a small town where her friends lived. They were all together in a cozy inn, sharing good food, drinks, and laughs. The woman nearly burst with happiness, and she threw herself around each and everyone's necks, giving hugs and kisses all around. Because she really was a wise woman--it was because of her friends that she survived, and she intended to thank them for that.
The eunuch eventually went out and made something of his broken life. He found someone to love him, even though he was so weak-willed. The evil princess got exactly what she deserved. Oh, she managed to rebuild her powers, and she manipulated more people into thinking they loved her, but none of these people saw the real her. So no truer words were spoken; she was never loved. And as for the woman and her friends...well, they lived happily ever after, of course.
The moral of the story: Don't piss me off, because I'll write about it. I also have friends who can do real magick, so watch it, bitch. :D

One thing though, if she isn't a coward, why does she have her friends call me, and why does she have DaveReid call Teetz? Why can't she do it herself? Because she IS a afraid and will never have the guts to say anything to my face so she writes little stories that she wishes were true but aren't and never will be. Poor thing. Also, I think we all know what insult I'd really use on her if it came down to it, and it wouldn't be something like "You'll never be loved". That's the lame thing her Screech Owl friend screeched at me on the phone one night. Oh the Tundra is lovely...
I guess she really is pissed at Teetz for not liking her. And by "liking" I think we all know what I mean, because everyone with half a brain saw she totally wanted him for the longest time, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. As Britt said about the situation, "I'm so glad he has his wits about him". I guess she doesn't understand that some people just don't like her, I didn't put any spells on anyone for that, it was something she did entirely on her own.
I wonder if there will be a second part, especially if she finds out how much I enjoyed this first one.
Once upon a time there was a princess. But she wasn't a typical princess. She was just a girl who declared herself princess (and we know how well that sort of action turned out for Mr. Bonaparte). She was also not pretty. She had hair as long as Rapunzel, but it was all matted and gross, and she had a horse face, too. But when she looked in the mirror, she thought she was beautiful, because she was so vain. She wasn't a nice person either. All of the subjects in her court were terrified of her. She kept a log of everything that everyone around her said so that she could blackmail them later if she so chose.
Her closest "friend" (I use quotation marks, because can someone really be a friend if they are merely used as a puppet?) was a eunuch. Hopefully he was already like that before he met her, but somehow I doubt it, which proves even more how un-princess-like she was. He followed her around all the time, and that's how she liked it. Because, you see, she was in love with him, but she never wanted to admit to anyone that she loved a eunuch. Real princesses only married real princes, so that's what she wanted to do. Of course, she wasn't thinking that no real prince would have her because she wasn't a real princess. She also knew (but never admitted) that the only reason the eunuch seemed to love her back was because she had put a spell of manipulation over him.
So she lived her life like that for many years; terrorizing her subjects and fawning over a eunuch. Until one day, a woman moved to the area that this so-called-princess had set up as her kingdom. This woman was a very trusting sort of person, with a quiet beauty about her, and she only moved to this place because a friend of hers led her there (she didn't realize at that time that this friend was one of the so-called-princess' subjects). Part of what made the "princess" so awful was that she was quite good at making everyone believe that she was good and beautiful. The woman fell into this trap at first because she thought everyone she considered a friend was as good a friend as she was.
One day, the woman was walking across a meadow to reach the princess' place of residence for a visit, when she nearly tripped over a young girl (about 15 years old) sitting in the grass and crying.
"Whatever is the matter?" she asked.
The young girl hiccupped and replied, "The princess slapped me." Then she burst into fresh tears.
"Surely you don't mean that!" The woman was appalled. Imagine! A princess slapping her subjects!
"Well, it wasn't that h-h-hard. But she told me I couldn't love the boy that I loved! She said he was to be a member of her inner c-c-court and I couldn't have him. I protested, and she s-s-slapped me."
"Oh, my," exclaimed the woman."And now he's probably going to be a eunuch, too," the girl sobbed.
The woman gave the girl a piece of candy she had in her pocket and carried on across the meadow, thinking about what she had just learned. The woman, although trusting, had had her suspicions about the princess--namely, that her favorite eunuch had not arrived to her in that condition. The woman reached the princess' place of residence, but before she rapped on the heavy wooden door, she paused. She could hear loud voices inside.
"You're hardly a man!" cackled a female voice the woman could almost recognize. Then the voice laughed. It was a horrible laugh that made the woman's skin crawl.
"Yes, I know," replied another voice meekly. It sounded male, but perhaps before puberty.
"You have no testicles!" The same cackle. "No real woman will ever want you! I only keep you out of pity!"
The woman opened the door a tiny bit. She couldn't imagine that the voice was really the princess', but who else could it be? And indeed it was--but since the woman was looking at her when she was showing her true colors, she was not fooled by the dark magic the princess usually employed to present herself as fair and beautiful. The woman saw her as she truly was: horse-faced, with empty eyes and dark tangled hair floating around her like Medusa's snakes. The woman gasped. She tried to shut the door, but it was too late; the princess had seen her.
"YOU!" cried the evil princess.
The woman was no coward. She opened the door wider and didn't run away. The evil princess looked flustered. She had never intended to have anyone see what she was truly like (the eunuch didn't count--she had him completely manipulated). She decided she would try to control the woman the way she had controlled so many others. So the evil princess flung insult after insult at the woman, trying to affect her. And it must be said that a few of the things the princess said hit nerves of the woman. There were moments when her strength began to falter, and she felt her self-esteem dip. But then the woman thought of her true friends, the ones who were loyal to her through thick and thin, and her defences were fortified. It was as though the love of her friends had formed a transparent shield around her, and all the insults the evil princess could come up with merely bounced off of the woman and ricocheted around the room.
But then, the evil princess thought of the perfect insult. Her empty dark eyes flashed maliciously. She knew it would be perfect because somewhere deep inside of her, where the tiniest portion of a real human soul existed, she could remember the day she realized that it was true about herself. It was the worst truth anyone could imagine, and it made her hate herself even more than she already did. But as soon as she had realized it, she chose to push that fact out of her mind and ignore it. That was the day that crowned herself princess and began collecting people to control. Her powers of manipulation were all that kept her esteem afloat. So now she chose to use this insult against her enemy, thinking that at last, this could manipulate the woman.
"YOU WILL NEVER BE LOVED!" shouted the evil princess triumphantly.For a brief moment, the woman was stunned that the princess was truly that evil. But then a wave of pity washed over her. The woman knew that this was the princess' greatest fear, and that it had already been realized.
"You are very wrong," said the woman calmly. The insult flew toward the woman, but could not break through the shield of love that surrounded her. It bounced off the shield and hit the princess between the eyes, forcing her to remember that it was she, not the woman, who would never be loved.
The woman felt bad for the princess, but worse for the eunuch. While the princess began sobbing, mourning her life that she had destroyed, the spell on the eunuch was broken. He awoke with the realization that he had wasted years on someone he thought was beautiful and fair, only to have had her castrate him. It was very disappointing and sad.
But the woman couldn't bear to be in the vicinity of these people anymore, so she ran out of the building and through the meadow until she came to a small town where her friends lived. They were all together in a cozy inn, sharing good food, drinks, and laughs. The woman nearly burst with happiness, and she threw herself around each and everyone's necks, giving hugs and kisses all around. Because she really was a wise woman--it was because of her friends that she survived, and she intended to thank them for that.
The eunuch eventually went out and made something of his broken life. He found someone to love him, even though he was so weak-willed. The evil princess got exactly what she deserved. Oh, she managed to rebuild her powers, and she manipulated more people into thinking they loved her, but none of these people saw the real her. So no truer words were spoken; she was never loved. And as for the woman and her friends...well, they lived happily ever after, of course.
The moral of the story: Don't piss me off, because I'll write about it. I also have friends who can do real magick, so watch it, bitch. :D

One thing though, if she isn't a coward, why does she have her friends call me, and why does she have DaveReid call Teetz? Why can't she do it herself? Because she IS a afraid and will never have the guts to say anything to my face so she writes little stories that she wishes were true but aren't and never will be. Poor thing. Also, I think we all know what insult I'd really use on her if it came down to it, and it wouldn't be something like "You'll never be loved". That's the lame thing her Screech Owl friend screeched at me on the phone one night. Oh the Tundra is lovely...

Pretty Boys With Talent
I love Gavin DeGraw and Howie Day. Both are very talented, write their own music, play their own instruments, and they do not dance - just so we're clear on that. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Boy Bands as much as the next girl, particularly at the height of their popularity when NSync and the Backstreet Boys were duking it out for the #1 video slot every fucking week on TRL back in the day, but at that point they were still a packaged deal. I'm not going to lie, I have all the CDs that both bands put out. In the early stages of their career they had all their songs written for them, their styles picked out for them (the Cute One, the Bad Boy, etc) and all their dance moves choreographed in a ridiculous manner - some of the ways they twisted around, I didn't know it was possible for the human body to move like that. As later albums came out, they started writing more of their own stuff and still doing fairly well until the Boy Band explosion kind of imploded and everyone was like, 'Wow, over it now". Everyone went quietly away for a while, then Justin (NSync) and Nick (Backstreet) each came out with solo projects and I think it is safe to say that Justin won that round. However, Justin really is incredibly talented. I don't think there is anything wrong with the choreographed moves, I just think you have to have some substance to back it up so it's not all show. I really believe Justin is talented and he does work his ass off to put on a great show. However, I don't think some people give him the credit he deserves because of his "roots" with NSync (who will, like the Backstreet Boys) be putting out one final CD together. And if you are wondering, yes I did buy Backstreet's latest CD and it is actually really good, better than I expected it to be). I am not comparing Gavin and Howie and Justin to one another, I don't think you can just because of how differently they started out. I just think Justin should get a little more credit here, and he does play the piano and the guitar so it's not like all he has going for him are a few dance moves and a mediocre voice - this boy can do it all (in case you're also wondering, yes I did buy his solo CD too. It's damn fucking good). So that's all, Justin is a pretty boy with talent, but Gavin and Howie are also pretty boys with talent, just a different kind of pretty, if that makes sense. You don't have to be ugly to be talented or write amazing songs and these guys all have proven it. I think they're all talented, they just got to where they are by taking very different paths and all the haters need to just stop and let everyone be.
On a much lamer note, Teetz and I recently found out that he is actually NOT the one Jenny is all bent out of shape over - it's Kayleen. That's news to everybody, because Kayleen was not mentioned at any point whatsoever. I guess Jenny doesn't understand the fact that Kayleen works a lot and doesn't have time to see her friends in Lincoln, let alone drive to Omaha all the time to see her friends either. It's not as though Kayleen and I are hanging out all the time, yes I have seen her more recently but these have been special occasions such as Teetz's birthday. But apparently that's what Screech Owl was talking about on the phone when she said I was stealing other peoples friends. No wonder for the confusion, we weren't even arguing about the same people. And really, we weren't even arguing about Teetz to begin with, all I did was tell the truth, and some people just can't handle the truth. And then they send their boyfriends and friends to confront people because they have no backbones for themselves. Ah well, you can only hope that they simply never breed, so more people like them are not brought into the world.

Update
I know I only posted about an hour and a half ago but I thought this little tidbit was worth another post. I just got a phone call from someone who sounded like a screech owl in her attempts to insult me. Apparently Jenny can't call herself and confront me, just like she has never ever once been able to confront me about anything. This is the only time a confrontation is warranted, granted, because this is the only time I have ever actually done anything. So one of her friends calls and says that because I fucked with jenny, I fucked with her too. I was like, who is this, because it was a 308 so at first I thought it was Ashley and it was about shit to do with Adam. Anyway, this girl is literally screeching and I'm just like, okay sweetheart, yep, okay keep talking and she pretty much told me I was evil and will never be loved and I am stealing friends from other people. She also said I needed to stay out of stuff that was between other people. Funny thing is, if Jenny had done the same thing and stayed out of the shit with me and Teetz, none of this would be happening, so it looks like the pot is calling the kettle black. I love hypocrites. Now, let's look at the facts:
1. I knew Teetz, and DaveReid for that matter, long before Jenny did.
2. She would not know them if it wasn't for me.
3. Teetz is my best friend here, and regardless of the fact that we were in a huge fight, even when Jenny cracked a lame joke about "being the new Sarah" for him, he said, "No one can replace Sarah".
4. Teetz can't stand her
5. Teetz really can't stand her.
Now, given these facts, I finally decided since he could not tell her he doesn't really want to know her, I would do it for him. He did not object, or he would not have given me the phone number, nor would he have laughed the entire time I was on the phone. Seriously, if he wanted to be friends, don't you think he would have made more of an effort to keep in contact with her? If she has to send her friends to call me and tell me I am evil, so be it, of course I am fucking evil, looks like she missed that memo too. I may be evil, but at least I am honest and up front with people about who I am, and I am not two-faced, a backstabber, or a liar. We'll have to see if the Screech Owl calls back again, I am looking forward to this one.

Sometimes I Get A Little Belligerent
I like to drink. This is no secret, anyone who knows me knows I, more than occasionally, like to partake in the consumption of adult beverages. Last night Teetz, JohnRoss, Drake, Kayleen and I were at Sandy's, and eventually were joined by Amanda, Greg and random other people, and I was ready to fight. I am not sure exactly what came over me as the evening went on. Everything started fine around nine or so, we hit Sandy's by 9:30, everything was kickin', and then Drake's ex-girlfriend starts calling. She had been sending him texts all day and called around maybe 11 or so. I answer and basically said, "Look you dumb bitch, leave my boyfriend alone because he doesn't want to talk to you." I then hung up. She called back at least four more times and it always went the same way: me telling her to stop calling him and her being a dumb bitch. Finally by the 5th call I told her I was going to punch her in her face. It was ridiculous how much punishment she wanted to take. Then today she sent him a text asking for his address and neither of us responded. She called this afternoon when I was with him at his family's house and he handed me the phone. Apparently she finally got the hint because she didn't say a word when I answered and she hung up. On a similar note, Jenny continues to randomly IM and email Teetz and leave Facebook messages about how they need to hang out or whatever. I don't think she got the memo that he really doesn't like her and wants nothing to do with her. Personally, if someone I perceived to be a friend never responded to my messages and whatnot, I would take it as a hint that we're probably not actually friends. I just don't think she gets it, so me being in my fighting mood last night, I called and left her a voicemail informing her that she and Teetz really aren't friends. He was cracking up the whole time, so maybe she will get it this time around, but I guess we will have to see. I'm sure she will think that I did this all on my own, but hey, I had to get her phone number from somewhere because I certainly don't have it in my phone anymore - and you bet your ass Teetz is the one who gave me her number to do the calling.
On the downside, last night around ten before all this shit went down with all these dumb bitches, Adam called. It was The Call, and I really have not had time to process it until now that he is actually in another country. He didn't have long to talk because he was literally leaving in a matter of minutes, but he was like, I promised you I'd call and so I am keeping that promise - so of course I'm crying and telling him that it's not enough time and it's not how I wanted to say good bye because I wanted to be able to hug him and say good bye face to face and he's telling me not to cry and that it wasn't his intention to make me cry. He said he'd be back before I knew it and that everything would be fine and he would be fine and that I shouldn't worry because the guys he is with know what they're doing. Finally came the moment of truth and we're saying good bye and I told him I loved him and that I would be at the armory in Grand Island when he got back and he said that he loved me too. To finally hear it word for word was kind of a shock almost, and of course I am still crying because that's what I do, but I asked him to say it one more time for me and I could tell he has one of those sheepish smiles on his face but he said he loved me again and then he told me to go back inside and have a good time and not to worry and drink some drinks for him. I think this conversation may have contributed greatly to me drinking myself stupid for the next four hours, but hey, if I am drinking for myself and for Adam, that's a whole lot of fucking alcohol I have to consume. In addition, I also ended up drinking a blow job shot off Teetz, which made me laugh. He was kind of drunk when it happened which made it funnier, because when he actually put the shot glass between his legs I realized how close my face actually was to his penis and I almost could not go through with it. Not to mention the fact that the bartender put a shit-ton of whipped cream on top, and I mean a TON. But it was all good. Then at Jimmy John's later I pretty much re-enacted the scene from When Harry Met Sally and the place literally stopped. One guy asked if he should give me a tip. It was hilarious, I was drunk, I was with some of my best friends and aside from the fact that I had to say good bye to one of the people I love most in this world, it was a great night with my friends and my boyfriend and as of tonight, all is right in my world. Honestly, right now I could not ask for more.
